Why did the Pantheon go from €5 to €7?
The extra €2 from each ticket funds the Piano Olivetti for Culture, supporting local libraries in disadvantaged areas and inland regions.
The Ministry writes it like this: «The €2 increase for each ticket will go to the actions provided for under the Piano Olivetti», with a precise goal, «support for local libraries in disadvantaged areas and inland regions».
Translated: you enter a Roman temple almost two thousand years old and part of the ticket goes to a neighbourhood library. It is not a surcharge for a new service inside the Pantheon. The monument, the time slot and the rules remain the same.

Reductions and free entry remain unchanged. The entry rules are those published by the Ministry: time slots, no cloakroom, no Roma Pass.
- Time slots. Entry is «in time slots until availability is exhausted», and the ticket is valid for one entry only, within its time slot. The page requests «maximum punctuality».
- No skip-the-line. The official page states clearly: «There are no 'skip-the-line' / 'skip the line' entry methods». Everyone enters in their chosen time slot.
- No Roma Pass. «Entry to the Pantheon is not included in the Roma Pass and Omnia Card circuit.»
- No cloakroom. Only bring what you can carry.
- Mass remains free. On Saturday and the eve of holidays at 17:00, on Sunday and holidays at 10:30, entry is free for worship. Ticket sales stop one hour before.
